RE: Gemini Restore-A-Deck Kit
Quoting Scott Francis:
Is it necessary to power wash my deck before using a restore kit? Or does this take the place of power washing?

You pressure wash while using the kit.

My redwood deck is only a year old but unfortuntely I stained it with Behr l903 superdeck stain and it has just about faded way. Do I really have to use a stripper or can I use the cleaner and brightener.

You have to strip or sand to remove. You cannot apply TWP over the Behr.

I am going to refinish a 300 sq. ft. deck that is peeling. Should the deck be sanded prior to using Gemini Restore- a- deck. What is best material to mask the base of a hot tub before using Restore-A- Deck and the TSP stain. Thanks, Keith

Yes you should remove any old stain first. You can mask if needed with plastic.

My home is in Saratoga, CA and gets a lot of sun with 50% southern exposure. I have purchased and installed new western red cedar shingle siding made by Cedar Valley Manufacturing in Hollister, CA. Which of your stains, the 100 series or the 1500 series, would perform best given my location and substrate?

For California you are only allowed to use the TWP 1500 Series.

After cleaning, do I need to paint the deck with "original" first, let it dry, and then cover it with your stain or is your stain all I need?

Not sure what you mean by "original" but you cannot apply TWP on top of a paint or any stain brand.

Please let me know on both qustions.
Thanks much,
